Cross Stitching OVERT Fire John Home Page
Terri

Hello and welcome to my little corner of the world which consists of three parts: my job as a firefighter, my volunteer work with OVERT and my hobby/addiction to cross stitch.

I started as a part-time firefighter with the Municipality of Clarington in November 1997. I became a professional full-time firefighter with the City of Vaughan in October 1998. Although I no longer live in the Durham region, I still devote a great deal of my spare time to volunteer with a local emergency response group called: Ontario Volunteer Emergency Response Team.

My addiction to cross stitch began in the summer of 1994 when I went looking for a craft idea to share with my new "little buddy". I had just become a Big Sister, and instead of getting a little sister, I got a little buddy (it's a long story). Anyway, this lady gave me a little snowman ornament to try out to see if I would like stitching. I tried it, and loved it. Needless to say, I never taught my little buddy to stitch. Instead I took him to the circus, movies and we did other crafts together.

My love for the needle has grown so much, that it requires it's own bedroom in our house devoted to my "stash". I'm still trying to get everything organized, but will post a picture one day. Hey, John has his own room for all of his army stuff!
