WIP (Work In Progress) Proud to be on Duty

The next project I have underway is a lovely adaptation of an old fire station in Yorkville (a neighbourhood in Toronto, Canada). It was designed by Julia Lucas, a Canadian designer. She also changed the graph to a Canadian flag for me. The design appeared in the February 1999 issue of Just Cross Stitch. I'm stitching it on 28ct White Cashel Linen with the suggested DMC and Kreinik floss.

My work so far on Proud to be on Duty

See the photo of the model from the magazine above to compare it to my work and progress to date. This picture is how far I have stitched as of the beginning of September 2005. Perhaps when I finish this piece it will hang with pride at my firehall.
