"Summer At The Ocean" by Jeannette Douglas. This piece was completed just in time to make the flight to France in June of 2004. I stitched it for my dear friends, Marrianne and Olivier Hoffer. After meeting them in June 2003, they went to Italy for their honeymoon and made a special trip to a cemetary. This cemetary is the resting place of my grandmother's boyfriend who was killed in September 1944. They gave me pictures of the head stone which I enlarged and gave to my grandmother as a way of bringing him back home.
